We are looking for a qualified and experienced Database Administrator to work on:
1 – Repairing several Informix 12.10 instances in AWS. The duration of the project is three months.
2 – Planning and executing the migration of the Informix databases to Oracle, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Informix and Oracle database administration, AWS cloud services, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- 100 % Remote.
- Part-Time or Full-Time job.
- Multinational team – Excellent communication skills in English are needed.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Interview process: Technical interview – 1hr.
- Daily stand-ups around 9-10 am EST
- Team members are primarily in North Carolina, the USA, and LATAM countries. EST business hours are preferable.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to overlap EST time zone from 8am till 1pm
- Expertise in IBM Informix.
- Experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- Experience in AWS cloud services.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding problem solver.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and be effective/proactive in a relatively unstructured environment
- Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field
