PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Our client is seeking a hands-on, highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for a 9-month contract engagement. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing, automating, and scaling our modern cloud-native deployment pipeline.
Our stack heavily leverages Vercel, Optimizely, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, and GitHub Actions. You will work directly with our engineering and technical leadership to streamline continuous delivery, enforce strict security and compliance standards, and ensure high availability across our publishing, data analytics, and digital event platforms.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience: 7+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles, ideally within fast-paced SaaS, digital media, or data-driven organizations.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Expert-level mastery of GitHub and GitHub Actions for workflow automation and release management.
• Front-End & Edge Deployment: Proven production experience deploying and managing high-traffic applications on Vercel.
• Cloud Platforms: Deep hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Azure architecture, resource management, and identity integration.
• Data & CMS Platforms: Familiarity with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake) and modern digital experience/CMS platforms (e.g., Optimizely).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or similar modern IaC tooling.
• Mindset: Strong focus on automation, security-first architecture, clear documentation, and collaborative cross-functional execution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
CI/CD Pipeline Architecture: Design, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, integrating automated testing, security scanning, and seamless deployments to Vercel and Azure.
Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Configure, monitor, and scale infrastructure components within Microsoft Azure (PaaS/SaaS) and Vercel edge environments, partnering closely with our cloud network architecture (Azure BGP routing, Ubiquiti edge).
Data & Application Integration: Build reliable operational bridges and data pipelines connecting our core Snowflake data warehouse, application services, and digital platforms.
Experimentation & CMS Operations: Support deployment infrastructure for Optimizely and front-end architectures to guarantee zero-downtime releases and rapid feature delivery.
Compliance & Security Automation: Embed security best practices directly into the pipeline to support our continuous compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA) alongside tools like Vanta.
Observability & Reliability: Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting across all deployment targets to minimize downtime and quickly isolate performance bottlenecks.
