You are:
Experienced in building complex data pipelines. You have 3+ years of experience working
on production ETL/ELT pipelines. You are comfortable wrangling messy data and know how to
scale pipelines to handle multiple potential points of failure.
Proficient with Apache Spark. You have 2+ years of experience writing and debugging Spark
pipelines using Python or Scala (Scala preferred). You understand the core concepts of
parallelism and cluster architecture, and have experience debugging jobs running on a
managed service like Dataproc, EMR or Databricks.
Skilled in object-oriented programming. You’re comfortable writing and debugging object-
oriented code and can clearly explain basic OOP concepts.
An excellent communicator. You have strong English proficiency and are comfortable taking
requests from internal and external clients and translating them into the required technical task.
You enjoy collaborating with analysts and other internal teams to proactively resolve their data
issues and build tools that help make their processes more scalable and efficient.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-driven, with a focus on verifying fixes, improving systems iteratively, and preventing production issues.
Proactively troubleshoot end to end data pipelines.
Ensure that data flows through our systems to provide timely and accurate updates for more than 400 customers. You will build
and update code containing complex business logic to standardize and transform lending data ,
as well as investigate failures in production pipelines.
Ensure clients can seamlessly connect their data to our company. Help automate data ingestion for
new clients or new data sources so that information flows through our systems with no
manual intervention.
Collaborate with internal analyst teams. Translate business logic provided by analysts into
scalable, high-performance Scala code running on Apache Spark. Partner with analysts to
investigate and resolve client-facing data issues.
Enhance our data pipeline tooling. Develop new features to improve the performance and
scalability of our existing pipelines. Work with a cutting-edge tech stack including BigQuery,
Apache Spark, Airflow, and dbt.
