As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be working together with a team of skilled engineers to build out and maintain testing of our Equity Management SaaS Application.
You will be responsible for developing and executing tests that support new features, enhancements, and fixes to the product through work items planned in the current sprint and actively participating in planning, refinement, and retrospective meetings. You will be also responsible for implementing automated tests for the same.
You will be working in a product team, alongside Engineers and QA Engineers, following an Agile SDLC to create manual test that ensure only the highest quality software is released. - Overlap Time: 10am to 6 pm IST.
- The current team is spread across the East Coast, West Coast, India, LATAM, and Ukraine – interface with team India.
- 6+ years of commercial software testing experience, including experience in developing test cases for web and SaaS applications
- 5+ years of experience with defining & documenting manual functional and non-functional testing
- 3+ years of experience using JIRA, XRAY, ALM or other test management tool
- Solid foundation of QA methodologies, testing techniques and software development process in an agile environment
- Solid understanding of the Agile SDLC
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with cloud technologies Azure is a plus.
- Experience in financial domain is a plus.
- Define & document test plans, test cases and execute test for each assigned work item.
- Collaborate with cross functional team to understand and identify appropriate testing criteria.
- Identify test conditions, both positive and negative, from User Stories, Product Backlog Items, and other requirements documents.
- Execute test cases, document results, update progress and track bugs
- Align automation with the speed of development. Make informed decisions on what, how, and when to automate vs manually test.
- Use both manual and automation testing techniques to identify, track and report existing bugs as well as potential areas of risk in our software
- Design and execute non-functional testing (e.g., performance, security and accessibility) by using standard testing techniques
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives, and other meetings as needed
- Operate in an agile development team and participate in the design, development, testing, and debugging of applications.
- Review work items to estimate and work along side senior engineers to propose testing solutions.
