Interview Process:
1. Technical Screening (45 mins): A short coding exercise like a strong manipulation. Bring your IDE and screenshare.
2. Two Interview session in one day (1.5 – 2 hrs) by Alto’s tech leads and Managers
a. Tech Leads: Live coding collaboration on how you would build a set of API with the given requirement.
b. Engineering Managers: Experience and background conversation.
● 5+ years of backend development experience.
● Strong expertise in Golang, with hands-on experience in building production systems.
● Experience working with microservices architecture and security best practices.
● Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, SSO).
● Strong participation in technical sessions, able to estimate and contribute to technical discussions.
● Critical thinking and strong communication skills – ability to question, analyze, and improve designs.
● Hands-on coding 90%+ of the time.
1. Erlang/Elixir is a big plus – The crypto application uses Elixir
2. PHP – The legacy application was written in PHP.
3. Next.js/React – our frontend

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang microservices.
● Migrate legacy PHP components to Golang-based microservices if needed.
● Migrate Elixir components to Golang-based microservices if needed.
● Troubleshoot and resolve defects in existing PHP components.
● Design and implement RESTful APIs to support various applications.
● Estimate development effort for sprint tasks and ensure timely delivery.
● Collaborate with the team to achieve sprint goals and contribute to overall success.
● Actively participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, etc.).
