We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team.
- Ongoing project with an existing codebase.
- Primary Tech Stack: Scala, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Web components, FrontEnd microservices and GCP
- 6 hours overlap with EST.

5+ years of experience developing and maintaining production backend systems using Scala or Python within distributed, containerized environments.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and Docker for image management, including patching and redeploying containers at scale.
Ability to interpret vulnerability reports (CVEs, CVSS) and apply remediations; experienced with automated scanning tools such as Harness STO.
Experience configuring and maintaining build pipelines using Harness, GitHub Actions, or similar tools with integrated testing, security scans, and deployments.
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and DevSecOps best practices for secure build pipelines.
- Knowledge of other languages (Kotlin, Scala, Java)
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-driven, with a focus on verifying fixes, improving systems iteratively, and preventing production issues.
