Remote Analytics Engineer (InsurTech, Contract, UK)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION::

We’re a multi-disciplined team, bringing together expertise in software and data engineering, full stack development, platform operations, algorithm research, and data science. Our squads focus on delivering high-impact features – we favour a highly iterative, analytical approach.

We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team.

PROJECT STACK and TEAM::

This project team collaborates during regular working hours to develop and deploy a personalized content recommendation system. The team leverages technologies like React/Typescript, Python machine learning, HTML/CSS, Maven, Git/Github, and Kotlin/Java to deliver a high-quality solution meeting user requirements and industry standards.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS::

• Python skills, capable of contributing/building packages. Developing data applications, analytics applications, data manipulation and transformation pipelines.
• Use of common python frameworks and libraries: pandas, poetry, flask, pydantic, etc.
• Experience in cloud-based environments, preferably GCP or Azure.

GOOD TO HAVE::

• Experience using GCP suite incl. BigQuery and Storage Buckets.
• Experience with data / task pipeline schedulers Prefect, Airflow, Luigi
• Experience developing data/analytics applications, reporting and visualisations (PowerBI, Streamlity, Plotly, Tableau)
• Experience with data quality and control projects. Handling exceptions and interventions on data flows.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES::

• Work with the Data team to understand end-user requirements and translate them into an effective technical solution
• Document technical design and analysis work
• Explore new ideas and emerging technologies, develop prototypes quickly
• Uphold and advance the wider engineering team’s principles and ways of working
• Serve as a domain expert for one or more of our core technologies
• Mentor and coach colleagues in both engineering and business domain subjects
