We are looking for a Cloud Engineer (Intermediate Level) to join our Cloud Domain team.
The Cloud Domain team manages infrastructure, platform reliability, and automation across all environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
- Core Stack: Go (Golang), Terraform (cdktf), YAML, Bash
- Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable), developing these platforms as a cloud engineer.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc…
- Containerization: Kubernetes (basic exposure)
- Schedule: 100% Remote, must align with U.S. Eastern Time Zone (8 am–4 pm EST)
- Timeframe: January through June (minimum), with the option to extend through September.
- Strong experience in Go (Golang) and Bash
- Would consider strong Python background in place of Go
- Solid Terraform knowledge (cdktf experience strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with GCP (preferred), AWS or Azure acceptable
- Basic familiarity with Kubernetes (no deep admin work required)
- Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or similar)
- Foundational understanding of IAM, secrets management, and security patching
- Basic networking knowledge (VPCs, routing, firewalls)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
- Experience refactoring or modernizing Infrastructure-as-Code repositories
- Familiarity with cost monitoring and optimization tools
- Exposure to SRE best practices (monitoring, alerting, incident response)
- Previous experience in CloudOps, DevOps, Platform, or SRE roles
- Background in enterprise-scale GCP or multi-cloud environments
- Manage operational CloudOps service requests within 1–3 day SLA windows
- Write and maintain IaC configurations in Terraform/CDKTF
- Support disaster recovery, cost monitoring, and site reliability initiatives
- Migrate GitHub Actions pipelines to Harness equivalents
- Apply security patches, handle IAM requests, and optimize permissions
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to automate and standardize workflows
- Contribute to reducing IaC technical debt and improving automation reliability
