We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong Google Cloud knowledge, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker expertise to join our Development team.
This project team collaborates during regular working hours to develop and deploy a personalized content recommendation system. The team leverages technologies like React/Typescript, Python machine learning, HTML/CSS, Maven, Git/Github, and Kotlin/Java to deliver a high-quality solution meeting user requirements and industry standards.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain testable, secure platforms and cloud infrastructure (primarily on Google Cloud) that provide the foundations on which all of our software is built.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and reliability of deployments.
- Manage and optimise containerised environments using Kubernetes and Docker to support product teams in building and running scalable services.
- Empower our product squads to take ownership of how they deliver software robustly and at scale.
- Work with developers, security, and product teams to build robust, cloud-native systems.
- Create and maintain professional documentation, standards, and IaC practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Serve as a domain expert in cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and automation (Terraform, Docker).
- Help coach and educate other engineering teams on cloud and infrastructure practices and modern ways of working.
- Mentor product squad members in both engineering and business domain subjects.
