We’re seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join the team. The working hours are 12 pm to 8 pm IST.
- We are following Hybrid mode. 2 days at Hyderabad Office.
- Multinational team – Excellent communication skills in English are needed.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Interview process: 1) Technical interview (60 mins); 2) Hiring Manager Round (60 mins)
- Overlap Time: 12 pm to 8 pm IST.
- The current team is spread across the East Coast, West Coast, India, LATAM, and Ukraine – interface with team India.
- 8+ years of experience working with large-scale relational Databases like Oracle/SQL Server
- 4+ years of strong design and development experience in Oracle databases and PL/SQL
- Proficient in SQL and database management concepts
- Proficient in creating logical and physical data models
- Strong experience in SQL for database querying and manipulation
- Strong experience in database optimization and performance tuning
- Ability to mentor Junior-level engineers in best practices
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with GIT
- Experience building apps in financial domain is a plus
- Experience working in web applications built with .Net, Angular is a plus
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performing database solutions using Oracle
- Write complex SQL queries and optimize them for maximum efficiency and scalability
- Perform database tuning, monitoring, and optimization to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Design and develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures
- Analyze existing systems and propose improvements and new solutions
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide database solutions
- Provide support for database issues that may arise and ensure rapid resolution
- Focus and commitment to solving complex software development items that meet customer expectations
- Be involved with SDLC from requirements to test but own executing development of features & bug fixes that is clean, reusable, maintainable code
- Build quality into all tasks, ensure adequate unit testing and support quality assurance engineers in testing completed items
- Lead code reviews and architecture discussions
- Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in database management
